As esteemed guests at The Big Society launch – an event designed to bring people with ideas about improving their community together with Government ministers – Alex (Meet Your Street), Abbi (Anti-Bullying Shared) and Bella (Give Autism a Chance) were granted a few minutes with the newly-elected leader of our nation.

Then there is Jackie Nichols, a model who escapes to Japan to forget the tragic death of her boyfriend but find’s herself in a far worse situation. Or there’s classic dilemma from Tom Lynch and John White’s in Iraq when they are forced to choose between friends or family.

GOLD RUSH is a new documentary series for Discovery Channel about a group of unemployed men from Oregon who have set out for Alaska in search of GOLD. In a last ditch effort to provide for their families, they’ve sold everything they can and invested in a gold claim and the machinery to mine it.

Living off the grid in one of the wildest and most unforgiving wildernesses on earth, they hope to rekindle the American Dream and start a 21st Century Gold Rush. But in Alaska, everything is a struggle. Every day they have to contend with breakdowns, bug bites, extreme weather and grizzly bears. Can they tough it out long enough to find any gold?

Raw TV has won the “Best Non-Fiction With Recreations” Award for its long-running National Geographic Channel US series ‘Locked Up Abroad’ at Real Screen’s inaugural Factual Entertainment Awards – the television industry’s first global celebration of factual entertainment excellence.

Alice and her Six Dads for BBC3’s Adult season, follows recently engaged 21-year-old Alice Carder (pictured) as she embarks on a mission to discover which of her six fathers is truly her dad. 

Sleeping Beauty, meanwhile, is a film about 16-year-old Louisa Ball who suffers from an incredibly rare condition called Kleine Levin Syndrome, which means she sleeps for up to two weeks at a time.

Both programmes will be executive produced by Lucy Willis.
