Dimitri Doganis
Managing DirectorDimitri started his career working as one of the first generation of video journalists at 24 hour news station Channel One, winning the nomination as the Royal Television Society’s Young Journalist of the Year.
After 2 years he set up a small multi-skilled unit within another independent company before freelancing as a Producer / Director for the BBC and Channel 4.
He set up RAW TV in 2000 with a small development deal from Channel 4 to make popular documentaries. After initially directing a couple of RAW films such as a PBS NOVA in Iraq, he has been Executive Producer for much of RAW’s output, winning more awards for documentaries, journalism and current affairs.
As Managing Director Dimitri has overseen the creative development of the company, and managed the company’s growth into new areas, forging relationships with broadcasters in the UK, US and elsewhere.

Bart Layton
Creative DirectorBart Layton joined Raw TV in 2005 as Creative Director. Previously he worked as a producer, director, and writer for a number of leading production companies such as RDF and Diverse. Bart brings his talent for tackling controversial and challenging subject matter with tremendous visual style and journalistic rigour.
Bart has been previously short-listed for a BAFTA as well as being a finalist on two counts for Best Single Documentary at the Royal Television Society Awards. He has been finalist for the RTS Breakthrough Award and finalist for Best Documentary Series at the Grierson awards.Amongst Bart’s recently commissioned ideas are: new series of Banged Up Abroad, Breakout, Guns are Cool, The Search for Cool, Playing the Race Card, 16 for a Day all for Channel 4, as well as Bangla Bangers and Chop Shop – a returning series about an eccentric sports car designer in Bangladesh – for Discovery.
Bart continues to challenge conventions producing and directing work with distinctive visual flair which pushes back the boundaries of conventional story-telling

Lucy Willis
Executive ProducerLucy Joined RAW in November 2005 and since then has worked on a range of factual series, one-off docs and multi-platform projects for a number of broadcasters. Recent productions include the series Neigbourhood Watched, for BBC1 and Brits who made the Modern World for Five, and a number of one off docs – Wilfred Goes to Westminster, Half Ton Veg and Saving Britney Spears, all for C4.
Lucy has recently spearheaded the companies move into multi-platform with Battlefront (battlefront.co.uk), a major campaigning project for Channel 4 which exists on line and as two TV series. Battlefront recently won an Emmy®.
Before joining RAW, Lucy worked at Channel 4 as Acting Commissioning Editor for Education, where she commissioned over 30 hours of cutting edge programmes including Cold Turkey, the award winning Young Black Farmers and the campaigning series Davina Does Sex. Prior to that Lucy was a freelance series producer.

Piers Vellacott
Head of ProductionPiers joined RAW in September 2008 having worked as a Producer and Line Producer on over 50 hours of television programming across a range of genres.
His credits include Kings and Queens for Five and the BAFTA award winning The Year London Blew Up for C4 & RTE. In 2007 he and the team won a BAFTA for the feature length drama Nuremburg. for C4. He has worked on large CGI drama documentaries including: Impact Earth for C4/ProSieben/Discovery/Channel 9, and the yet to be released ITV drama U Be Dead starring David Morrissey and Tara Fitzgerald.
Piers has been Head of Production at 3BM, Ten Alps Drama and Oxford Film and TV, where he oversaw many commissions including: Simon Schama’s America, and English Heritage , as well as keeping these ships ship-shape. Broadcasters he has worked with include: BBC, HBO, ITV, Five, Chanel 4, Discovery, Channel 7, RTE, A&E, MTV, Fox, ProSieben.

Sam Maynard
Executive ProducerSam joined Raw as an executive producer in September 2009. In the last few years, he’s worked on a range of shows for Raw including series producing 26 episodes of Locked Up Abroad (National Geographic Channel) and Bangla Bangers (Discovery).
Previously, Sam has travelled the world series producing and directing in extreme locations such as West Papua to make Living with the Mek (Travel and Discovery) and Kenya for Mission Africa (BBC1). He’s also shot and directed programmes for all major UK and many international TV broadcasters.
Before this, Sam ran his own independent TV and cross-platform company, where he won two Scottish Baftas and a Prix Circom Europe Award for his programmes and interactive projects.
Sam’s also an award-winning photographer, who amongst winning accolades such as Feature Photographer of the Year was also awarded the enviable prize of Scottish Provincial Photographer of the Year (runner up). He regularly publishes photos on his blog, Hebrides.com.

Vinita Tawakley
Financial ControllerVinita joined Raw TV as Financial Controller in July 2008. A qualified chartered accountant, Vinita began her career as an auditor and soon progressed into the financial outsourcing sectors of the City. After gaining further invaluable experience in the PR and telecommunications industries, the mid-90s saw her moving into the heady world of television and multimedia, where she has thrived ever since.
During this time, she has had the pleasure of working at such innovative and well-respected companies as Illuminations TV, Magic Lantern Productions, Illumina Digital and Peter Jones TV, and on productions as diverse as Tycoon, Jade’s PA and The Turner Prize.
Her passion for numbers and balance sheets remains undimmed after nearly 25 years, and she still derives huge enjoyment and satisfaction out of jumping into the deep end and emerging victorious from her frequent battles with seemingly incomprehensible spreadsheets!
